Willie Nelson coming to Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater

RECOMMENDED READING

We should know better than to think any tour might be Willie Nelson's last.

When he played the Florida Strawberry Festival this spring, it came on the heels of a handful of canceled dates, which made you start to wonder. But of course, Willie rocked that show and came back strong — so strong he's already looking ahead to 2018.

Today, the Red-Headed Stranger announced he's returning to Ruth Eckerd Hall on Feb. 15, a venue he sold out in 2016 and 2014. He'll be nearly 85 at the time. Tickets start at $68.75 and will go on sale soon. Click here for details.

REVIEW: Willie Nelson, well-preserved as always, hits the road again at the Florida Strawberry Festival

Ruth Eckerd Hall's website says Los Lonely Boys will open the show — which makes sense, considering they also have other dates listed with Willie next spring — although the Heaven trio has recently come under scrutiny after police raided drummer Ringo Garza Jr.'s home as part of a child pornography investigation. Garza has slammed what he says are "false allegations."
