Calvary Christian gained 260 yards on the ground on just 13 carries in a rout of Vanguard on the road. The Warriors led 21-0 after the first quarter and 41-0 at halftime.

Jordan Ankrom carried four times for Calvary and gained 114 yards. Ankrom had a 57-yard touchdown run and scored three times. Steven Rice finished with 92 yards and a touchdown on five carries, and Johnny Hubbard scored from 40 yards out and gained 60 yards.

Canterbury had three players — Jeremy Dolan, James Goodwin and Brent O'Neil — gain more than 100 yards rushing. The host Crusaders (7-1) led 48-0 at halftime.

"We played well. We really came out strong," Canterbury coach Steve Dudley said. "The defense just really shut them down. We were dominant."

Defensively, Dudley singled out the play of DeSean Thomas, Sam Flood and Jake Holsinger.
