The Walter Camp Football Foundation has announced its Division I-A National Offensive Player of the Week -- and it went to Largo grad Dexter McCluster of Ole Miss.
The senior running back set a school record with 282 rushing yards and scored four touchdowns as the Rebels defeated Tennessee 42-17 on Saturday. McCluster, who had 324 all-purpose yards, scored on runs of 15, 23, 32 and 71 yards.
He broke the Rebels' single-game rushing record of 242 by Dou Innocent in 1995 -- and eclipsed the all-purpose mark of 317 yards by Deuce McAllister in 1999.
