Keswick Christian 66, Lake Wales Vanguard 22

ST. PETERSBURG — Keswick Christian got its first win in a splashy display of offense on homecoming, getting three touchdowns from DeJuan Wright, two more from Jaylin Coleman and scoring a school-record 52 points in the first half against winless Vanguard.

Wright finished with 133 rushing yards. Coleman returned an interception 59 yards for a TD, rushed for a 20-yard score and threw a 43-yard TD strike to Andrew Logue. Derek Sanson's 19-yard TD closed out the record half.

The Crusaders gained 370 yards and accumulated 15 first downs. On defense they allowed 40 yards total offense, as Vanguard had minus-17 yards rushing. Two of its scores came on kickoff returns.

"I am happy for the guys, especially the ninth-graders for getting their first victory," coach Rick Sanson said.
