Pasco junior Anthony Plourde won the Class 2A, District 3 boys title at Crystal River on Wednesday with a personal-best time of 16:29.
The boys and girls teams for Pasco and Wesley Chapel also advanced. The Pirates' girls finished second with 72 points behind host Crystal River with 35. Pasco was paced by Katlyn Eble (21:48) and Hannah Hollander (21:52). Wesley Chapel was sixth with 141, but no runners finished in the top 15.
Pasco, Anclote and Wesley Chapel finished third, fourth and fifth, respectively, in the boys race.
Individuals in the top 15 include Hernando's Jesse Balogh (17:41) in seventh place, Anclote's Spencer Guerette (18:08) in 10th, Anclote's Christopher Sorrick (18:12) in 11th, Hernando's Parker Steinkemp (18:16) in 12th, Pasco's Dillon Dunbar (18:24) in 14th and Simone Yebbe (18:32) in 15th.
