Wynn Watch: Tracking Zack Wynn's pursuit of history, Week 9

Posted on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009 at 1:01 p.m.

According to Hudson football coaches, Cobras senior QB Zack Wynn has 1,896 passing yards (with 16 TDs) after eight games. In last week’s loss to Tarpon Springs, he threw for 127 yards on 13-of-27 passing.

That gives him 6,596 yards for his career.

Pasco County’s all-time record for career passing yards is 7,657, set by former Land O’Lakes star Drew Weatherford, who later played at Florida State.

Hudson (4-4) plays at Wiregrass Ranch on Friday in a key Class 4A, District 6 game. A win would get the Cobras into the playoffs. That’s big because it would give Wynn at least one more game to try to catch Weatherford.

And at this point, he’s likely to need it – and maybe one after that.
