Will Ricky Trinidad play against Land O'Lakes?

TRINITY -- It’s not a sure thing just yet, but Mitchell football coach Brian Wachtel said today he has a good feeling standout Mustangs RB Ricky Trinidad will return to action this week against Land O'Lakes after missing last Friday’s game against Pasco with a back injury.

“He’s getting better,” Wachtel said. “The call is going to be made in a few days, but I have a good feeling. He’s feeling 100 times better. He’s moving better.”

Trinidad, who has rushed for 1,192 yards and 15 TDs this season, tweaked his back in a Week-8 win against Sunlake. He was not in uniform for his team’s loss to Pasco.

“He’s a competitor,” Wachtel said. “It hurt. You could see from the look on his face. He wanted to help his team as much as possible.”

Mitchell (8-1 overall, 5-1 in 3A-7) must win this week to make the playoffs.

Wondering if Coach Browning and his staff @ Sunlake is following # 8's recovery progress? Since # 8 is a Jr. this year he will have another opportunity to…. How do the football people put it???? “RUN UP THE SCORE” next year. However fortunately for you if the Mitchell coaching staff has as much integrity as most claim they will just give you a good *** whopping on the field.
